the 'wall-sticker in place of wallpaper' trend is picking up speed all over the world it seems. the latest addition is french designers fleur de kookyse who add their whimsical (and customizable) take to the table.

i think that tom ford signing with zegna is just plain weird. every time i check their collections, there is neither craftsmanship or signature style (which is what i guess they just bought), other than their high-profile spokesman of course... it just seems like an odd decision on tommy's part (we close like dat!) especially with his own line busting out this year.

...is a hot young haute couture fashion designer. working with silks, she embellishes it with embroidery, beadings and other special techniques. her dresses are priced in the $500-$5,000 range. when asked where she gets most of her inspiration, she replies “from myself, my personality. when I design I don’t think about models, I design for women like myself.”

...and her barely there intimates collection is as sexy as she is.

a scanner darkly, philip k. dick's tale of futuristic dystopia, looks like a winner for the old drawing-over-real-actors technique of filmmaking. and the posters are really quite nicely done. i like it when graphic designers seem to get their way... (ads not safe for your workplace)
