if you buy a $3,900 mini barcelona chair for your child, you shall enter the kingdom of hell. for too many reasons to list.

i've always thought that the best way to know what the future will be is to write it. you can pretty much assume that the next generations will be so lazy that they'll just crack open science fiction books and just implement whatever it says in there. like this.

jan von holleben's dreams of flying is a great project, very homegrown, very crafty but great. there's a certain insouciance to them, a certain je ne sais quoi if you will. i'll stop now.

in what will surely go down in marketing history as one of the stupidest and most wasteful ideas to come up in a while, some people covered the entire body of a fourth-rate model with $1M's worth of swarowski crystals only to sell them to private purchasers around the world who will then get the pleasure of seeing the aforementioned mannequin de-crystalized. sounds like a lot of work to see an ugly chick naked.

if you're in new york this summer, underpaid and sweaty, one way to get to know more people and feel that you indeed are somebody is to try to weasel your way into one of the many exclusive rooftop bars that cater to leggy models, their pets and really tired condénasties.

have you ever wondered what people see when they're at death's door? do they have to knock? is there a buzzer? a bouncer perhaps?... jason clay lewis makes it easy for you. it's big, red. can't miss it.

i know there aren't really enough style news in the world to fill daily updates but really, a "stair landscape" made of "steel ribbons covered in natural rubber, which separate and converge almost like a waterfall?!" style.com, you need standards.

what a headache! i truly do not know what to do with myself when i have 3 days off, i'm pitiful! walked around my neighborhood a couple of times, got into an argument with gina (told you so!) over the fact that i wanted to throw away our son's less-than-stellar pastel pajamas which she wanted to recycle for the upcoming kid... i'll take old, i'll even take ugly, but pastels?!... between the second coming in the namibian desert, a baghdad er and an indonesian tragedy, i found peace in the music:
inland sea
camille
herbert and his playlist
the adventures of hippocrates
cibelle
zoe keating
eric dolphy
kate havnevik
frank mcComb
natalie walker
jody watley? on the borderline?!
